Gymnastics: Class Descriptions
Beginner: 1 hour class. Monthly tuition $120. Ages 5 and up.
Athletes will train on all four Olympic events: Floor, Balance Beam, Uneven Bars, Vault. The emphasis is on safety and skill development. Skill building and evaluation is continuous. Children learn basic skills while improving balance, strength, flexibility and coordination. Athletes will work to master forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, round offs, handstands, pullover, cast, back hip circle and other skills.
Intermediate: 1 ½ hour class. Monthly tuition $135. Ages 7 and up.
This class requires evaluation and mastery of all beginner level skills. Athletes must have back walkover, front walkover, roundoff, back hip circle, etc. Athletes will learn back handsprings, connecting their tumbling passes, transitioning to high bar and other skills.
Advanced: 2 hour class. Monthly tuition $160. Ages 7 and up.
Requires evaluation and mastery of all beginner and intermediate skills. Athletes should have back handspring prior to enrolling. Athlete will learn more complex tumbling passes with tucks, layouts and twisting as they progress. Uneven bars will include more complex maneuvers and kips.
Pre-Team: By Invitation Only. Ages 5 and up.
For the young athlete with the skill and desire to pursue competitive gymnastics. We follow the USAG Junior Olympic Program. Levels 2 through 5 include Compulsory routines. Level 2 is required to practice 4 hours per week. Level 3 is required to practice 6 hours per week. Athletes will learn the skills and routines required to compete at their level. They will train and compete all 4 events: Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor. Classes taught by our experienced, USAG-certified coaches.
